The Food Management Today Industry Awards product judging at Harper Adams Regional Food Academy has been completed following a record entry. The winners and finalists will now be selected, after the judging forms are evaluated and ranked in order of scores. 

Countdown to the prestigious online awards ceremony on 1st July at 4.30pm is now underway.

Head judge, Keith Fisher was enthusiastic: “Once again this year’s competition was of an extraordinarily high standard with a record number of entries. The variety of brands and key players entering has been great to see, given the delays in getting here because of Covid-19 restrictions and the postponement of previous judging arrangements. Once again we are seeing great innovation, product development and new ideas – a key feature in these unique awards.”

Awards organiser, Sharon Yandell added: “Our home economists and the team at the Regional Food Academy have once again helped to make the judging week a great success. It’s been a very busy week but was highly successful and enjoyable, with every single entry cooked where required, sampled, tried and tested by the judging panel.

“Thank you to everyone who has supported the FMT Awards by entering their products and getting them to us on time in great condition. A great effort from a great industry – and it’s great to be back after lockdown heading towards a ceremony that I’m sure will be a great celebration of the best of the best!”

The 2021 Awards ceremony will be broadcast online on 1st July at 4.30pm as a virtual event and readers can pre-register for a reminder email and link to be sent to them on the day.
