The German Frostkrone Food Group has acquired UK business, Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd expanding its international presence.
The UK company has its headquarters in south Wales in a plant built in 2016 where a total of 200 staff are employed.
Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd creates finger food and snack combinations in the form of deep-frozen goods or as fresh produce.
Against the backcloth of the popular free-from segment the business has enjoyed significant commercial growth in recent years. The product range includes finger foods such as halloumi fries, Jalapeño peppers, mac’n’cheese croquettes, Jaffa cake bites as well as goat cheese products.
Significant export markets for the company include Australia, Japan and the USA. Abergavenny’s managing director, Jason Rees, will continue to run the business in the UK.

Continued growth
Following the acquisition of Abergavenny Fine Foods Ltd., the Frostkrone Food Group now has seven locations worldwide. “We’re planning for the future. The group of companies was able to convincingly position itself in this segment already last year.
