Control Union has joined forces with hygiene support company Christeyns Food Hygiene to offer food manufacturers fully accredited food safety and hygiene training.

Franco Costantini, managing director at Control Union UK, explained that the training will be fully customised and delivered by experienced and approved trainers: “Control Union is committed to advancing the UK’s food assurance programmes from organic audits to BRCGS food safety certifications,” he said.

“Given Christeyns Food Hygiene’s strong presence in the food processing industry this collaboration is an excellent opportunity for us to expand our food safety services.

“With a strong network of trainers, Control Union will support Christeyns Food Hygiene with food safety technical expertise. The ultimate aim is to provide efficient and effective product-service solutions to manufacturers,” continued Costantini.

Peter Littleton, technical director at Christeyns Food Hygiene, commented on the partnership: “By forming a partnership with Control Union we can build on the already excellent reputation enjoyed by our Training Academy and add to our suite of courses designed to enhance the knowledge and expertise across the range of our customers.

“The courses offered by the long-established Training Academy include subjects from Listeria and allergen management, through CIP, to the well-regarded ‘Train to Train’.

“Access to the full range of BRCGS courses, along with the highly sought after BRC Professional programme, offers a sector first from an innovative hygiene support company such as ourselves,” concluded Littleton.
